Wash Bags long overdue new colours

 Incredibly 2 years since I started these and the cream ground has been a great success.  While I have been helping Simon get his website & other platforms moving this year I have just about been able to keep a little plate spinning enough to get these ready for this Xmas on 3 new dark colour grounds with metalic print options : ) Launching on Not on the High Street this week & on my own new website in the new year..

 We are still hoping we may be able to create one more new Santa Sack this year. Last year we were delighted to send Santa Sacks to the Roonys! & have a page in Living Etc. Wonder if they had some new football boots? & if any one famous will buy this new design?..

London Route Master

 History of the double decker.

We have long been fans of the route master & have a great collection of sentimental destinations in our own home. In particular the 137 which not only did I used to catch to get to The Royal College of Art but years later it was also my preferred transport home when I worked at both M & S Baker Street & later Debenhams design team. When we got married I really did want to get the 137 from outside our house to Battersea Park but my Brother in law stepped in & insisted on a gorgeous vintage Rolls Royce. Respect to the timeless font by Gill Sans, a perfect example of less is more & an iconographic British Typogropher. So I resist the inspiration no longer & hopefully this week will see the launch of Bus Blind Inspired wash bags & compact mirrors!

Get Well Soon Lord Grantham!

Outside of helping Simon Hart this year I have been working with our fantastic UK manufacturer on expanding our popular bags onto dark colour ways. We have perfected our printing techniques with some bespoke machinery (made in the UK!!)  just for our bags so we can offer them with waterproof lining & metalic fonts.  This has been at least 2 years in development so I am very excited to say that this week stock arrives & we can make the products live on NOT ON THE HIGH STREET.

In the mean time Lord Grantham definitely needed one of these for his recent hospital admission & Cora stayed with him so we must not leave her out! x

Making one of these today which has just reminded me last year we were very honored to be asked to make this apron for the Birthday of the personal chef to Prince Charles!! so his Sister told me!!! Hope he wore it to work

For Downton Abbeys Fantastic Cook, Mrs Patmore...

Our first Lovehart Christmas present is for one of my favorite Downton Abbey characters, Lesley Nicol Mrs. Patmore.  I like to think she would go for something quite unfussy using very classy vintage fonts & cutlery straight from the Downton dining table (upstairs of course!) 

 

Nicol grew up near Manchester, the daughter of an amateur-actress mother and a GP father, and attended Guildhall Drama School. What I love most is some of her jaw dropping one liners, we all need a few of these up our sleeve. Especially recently as she is sent off by Mrs Hughes  to Mr Carson to discuss his connubial needs in their impending marriage. Sooo funny. Lest we forget her lines when we need them:-

Christmas at Downton Abbey

To celebrate getting back to my own pages & work after 10 months helping my other half  I have decided (in my imagination) that Lovehart is going to be the official supplier of gifts to the characters of Downton Abbey. So little time left I am relishing every last episode!!

Lovehart has been Busy for Simon Hart

I have been totally tied up this year busy building online presence www.simonhart.co.uk, blog, FB, Twitter, Pinterest & much more (all the product for him!) that sadly what is left of Lovehart has been very neglected. Simon's strengths are not on the computer (but neither are mine!!) Lovehart has for the last 5 years been primarily a wholesale business which saw us supply over 600 UK retailers & distribute all over the world. However we have evolved now to separate our work & I am very much looking forward to taking Lovehart in a new direction. No longer wholesale & much more about personalised heirloom style gifts. Had a very inspiring trip to London for Not on the High Street Make Do & Meet & now just trying to focus on getting all of Simon's online presence under my belt so I can focus on redirection of  Lovehart, hopefully by September. At least everything I have learnt in the process for Simon I can use to hopefully even greater advantage going forwards....
