Ahoy Captain Harty

In between our work marathon to be ready for Top Drawer we had a little flurry of family & friends descend upon us. Kittys Godparents Emma Mawston (head of design at Liberty Fabric) & Mark Mawston (fantastic photographer) & my Brother. (Lovely Brother!!) We surfaced long enough to remember how lucky we are to live in this gorgeous place. We had fish & chips at the new 'Rock Fish' restaurant. Spot of crabbing on the Embankment while we waited for our table. Cooked you guessed.... fresh crab & lobster straight from the fishermans boat. Chugged up the river to Dittisham for a lovely lunch (More fish!!) at The Anchorstone Cafe (not to be missed)  after a spot more crabbing on the jetty. CRABTASTIC

Final Proofs

At last we have signed off our proofs. Very happy with the results & it was worth the blood sweat & tears. Why we both seem to prefer squatting on the floor to work when we have 2 comfy desks to work from I am not sure? Kitty age 4 insists on taking very unflattering reportage of us. We have both learnt a lot & spent a lot!!!!

Paolo Nutini at Eden Sessions

Gorgeous day at Eden totally inspired by both the amazing flora & fauna & the fantastic performance by Paolo Nutini, with Martha Waignwright thrown in! Daunted by having to get our own little Eden ready for RLNI open day in 2 weeks. Due to Lovehart it has been rather neglected this year!!

Lovehart Camper Van

Oh we so want a camper van!! Not only for some lovely family trips but to double as a pop up lovehart shop!! I am entering all sorts of competitions, fingers crossed. A quick doodle in Photoshop of our day dream.....

Absence makes the Hart

Well I think we need a blogger on board!!! Flat out trying now to be ready for Top Drawer. We are waiting for a second set of proofs of the cards & hopefully we will be good to go. Simon seen here considering the colour tweaks,  making one of many changes!!!! For me to correct. Conscious of not putting too much up for now or there will be no 'unveiling' in September....

By The dart

Thank you yet again to our great Dartmouth magazine 'By The Dart' for this lovely July cover feature of Simons work. We are producing prints of these images available through our lovehart web site, Simons web site & from Baxters gallery. They are available window mounted unframed & mounted & framed in a 30cm square frame in a choice of colours.

Proofing

Starting to go a little cross eyes with the mamoth amount of colour proofing from scans we are doing. All of Simons work is original art work & he has a particular eye for colour. Being a technophobe he will not learn how to do this himself. Next time he is on his own. For now the end is in sight!!!!!

The top example is as the scan sees it. The bottom example is the colour corrected version. Each one has taken approximately an hour!
